Situated in the western part of Lake Erie and Canada's southernmost point of inhabited land, Pelee Island is truly one of Canada's hidden gems. The unique microclimate, synonymous with the island is created as a result of two factors. Pelee Island's geographic location south of the 42nd parallel combined with the unusual geology of Lake Erie creates a warm climate that differs greatly from the rest of Canada. The result is 195 beautiful frost-free days.

Along with its natural beauty, the island offers a host of other summer attractions. Fishing, hiking, biking and swimming have all become favorite summer activities on the island.
